FCIC: Developing First-Principles Tools and Knowledge for the Emerging Biorefinery Industry

The Feedstock-Conversion Interface Consortium (FCIC) is excited to announce a series of webinars to showcase the consortium’s tools and knowledge garnered through research. The FCIC is a collaborative, interdisciplinary effort among nine U.S. Department of Energy National Laboratories. The goal of the FCIC is to develop science-based knowledge and tools to understand and mitigate the effects of biomass feedstock and process variability on biorefineries. The first webinar will be an introduction to the FCIC by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Ed Wolfrum. Ed will present a high level overview of each research area, from materials of construction through feedstock variability and process performance. The webinar will end with a Q&A session; comments and questions are welcome.
